Jose P. Fernandez

 

Jose P. Fernandez is the Principal Consultant for Performance Consulting Group, Inc., an enterprise transformation firm located in South Florida. Jose has particular expertise in Performance Excellence, Supply Chain Management, Change Management, Process Improvement, Strategic Planning and Balanced Scorecards.

 

Jose has over 30 years of business experience in accounting, banking, electric utility, healthcare, hospitality, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, education, telecommunications, IT, and government. He has a successful track record of bottom line improvements, having led several initiatives that have yielded over $70 Million in documented savings to clients, while at the same time, increasing sales, improving product quality, and customer and employee satisfaction.  

 

Jose has served as a member of the External Editorial Review Board of NAPM Purchasing Today magazine. He also has been a member of the Board of Examiners of the Florida Sterling Award since 1992 and currently serves as a Master Examiner, and is an active member of the Sterling Examination Committee. Mr. Fernandez served as the Treasurer of the Hispanic Marketing & Communications Association from 2000-2005, and he has presented workshops at various quality, educational, and safety conferences.  

 

He holds a BS in Chemistry and an Executive MBA in Management, both from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. He was also certified as an Applications Expert (Six Sigma Black Belt) by Florida Power Light Co., and a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) by ASQ.

 
 
 

James H. Krefft, PH.D.

 

Jim Krefft consults in implementing large-scale changes that accelerate growth and improve organizational performance. His work has enabled clients to save over $2.7 billion.

 

He focuses on deployment of the human talent needed to achieve and sustain capability, transparency, and leverage. The keys to the placement gauntlet are organization design, job design, and competence-driven placement. Putting the right people in the right jobs at the right time and cost both enables performance excellence and drives down the cost of poor staffing.

 

Jim has 25 years international experience in talent management, organization design, change leadership, competency-based selection, and human performance systems. He has facilitated training in large-scale change, forming partnerships, behavioral interviewing, performance management, team building, and performance coaching.

 

Before becoming a consultant, Jim worked for ExxonMobil as a Human Resources Executive.

He has co-authored Powerhouse Partners: A Blueprint for Building Organizational Culture for Breakaway Results (2004) and Changing Course: Navigating Life after Fifty (2008) and written articles and case studies on implementing large-scale change.

 

Jim served in the Army as executive officer of a training company and as commander of a drug rehabilitation facility, receiving the Army Commendation Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He has a BA Philosophy (magna cum laude) from Notre Dame Seminary College and an MA and Ph.D. English from Tulane University (National Defense Fellow, Monroe Fellow).
